A Call For Washington, DC Writers

Believe it or not, it has been incredibly difficult to connect with writers in the DC area. We're not sure if it's that they're so cleverly hidden or are ultimately above working with slick New Yorkers, but whatever the reason, we've only received ONE confirmation for the reading in DC.

It would be a real shame to cancel this exciting literary event due to disinterest. Now more than ever we need to rally behind our fellow creatives- support, show up, participate! Otherwise, we'll be proving all the nay-sayers, who claim that what we do isn't real work and isn't worth anything, right.

Contact us today if you or someone you know would like to take the 'stage' and share your creativity in Washington, DC. We're scheduled to perform on December 11th at Dos Gringos Cafe in the Columbia Heights/Mount Pleasant area at 6PM, and we're looking for short story writers, poets, novelists, YOU!

Don't waste another moment wondering if you should- 0ur time is now!

Save The Date!

Hear ye! Hear ye! We have exciting news!

La Pluma y La Tinta will be hosting a literary reading in Washington, DC and we're sooooo giddy about it!

If you're in town on December 11th, make it a point to stop in at Dos Gringos Cafe in Mt. Pleasant at 6PM- that's where we'll be, peddlin' our words for the masses. So far Pluma y Tinta co-founder Raquel Penzo and local DC poet Johnathan Tillman have signed on to read, and other inquiries are in the works. Trust us- you won't want to miss this event!
